Trip to Oklahoma

Yes, I realize nearly a month has passed since my last post. We were on vacation for nearly 3 weeks, and then (as it always seems to happen) it has taken awhile to get everything back to normal since we have been back.

We had a wonderful trip. We were there for the first of our newest nephew, Treyden. This brings our neice & nephew count up to 12... but be prepared I have 3 sisters-in-law who are currently pregnant... so, soon to be 15. Quick question, at what point do you stop buying Christmas and Birthday gifts?!

We were there for the 2nd birthdays of two other of our nephews, Harper and Mason (cousins born 1 week apart).

We also spent (a lot of) time at the lake. Jeff's folks have a lake house. My family used it for a few days, then Jeff's family was there for a week and a half. We were on the boat, the tube, the jet ski, the four-wheeler, and we went swimming and fishing (though not simultaneously).

We also visited 2 zoos in Oklahoma, the OKC Zoo and Little River Zoo.

Abi also got to go "golfing" with Daddy. In Ohio we have yet to find a course that will allow any child under 7 on the course (due to insurance issues), so Abi really wanted to go "golfing" while we were in Oklahoma.

We also got to take part in the 4th of July: fireworks and a parade.

It was also great just to be around for the regular stuff, T-ball games, and gymnastic classes, parks, and playgrounds.

Overall the kids did great on the 16 hour car ride (split between 2 days). Eli's patience gave out during the last 2 hours both on the way there and on the way back, but the first 14 were really good. Abi did well ... it's old hat to her, been doing this trip for 2 years now!

Abi is already wanting to start a countdown 'til we see everyone at Christmas.
